The Online News Association is seeking your participation in planning sessions for ONA10, set for Oct. 28-30, in Washington, D.C. Using our new Session Selector, we invite you to submit session proposals for consideration. We will be accepting submissions from Feb. 4 to Feb. 28. Then, from March 1 to March 21, the digital journalism community will vote for sessions they would like to see at the conference this fall.
Proposals are for general sessions on Friday, Oct. 29 and Saturday, Oct. 30, and should strive to be educational and inspirational. We're not looking for pontificating panels or product placement. Rather, we want sessions to offer participants solid information, best practices, the latest research, how-tos and other relevant info they can take back to their organizations.
Use this form only if you would like to speak and/or organize a panel of speakers on a particular topic. If, instead, you have general input or suggestions about ONA10 programming, please e-mail the ONA10 Programming Chair at ONA10program@journalists.org.
Please read the FAQ before submitting a session.
Is this geared toward experts?
I have read the Session Selector FAQ.
I understand a significant commitment of pre-event planning is required to organize a successful session. If my session is accepted, I will set aside sufficient time to devote to this process.
I understand that my panel could be canceled at any time if ONA organizers determine that I am not devoting enough time and energy to this process.
