Update: Hotel and Travel Information

Because the rooms held for our conference at the Sheraton Centre are sold out (how about that: this must be a new record for working ahead of deadline), ONA has secured additional rooms at the Metropolitan Hotel, across the courtyard from the Sheraton.

Reservations can be made by calling 800-668-6600 - please specify that you are calling for the rooms being held for the Online News Association or ONA. Rooms will be billed at $169 CAD. There is a limited amount of rooms, so please reserve early.

Travel

U.S. citizens who are traveling to Toronto by air will need a passport. Apply early because the State Department is experiencing delays in processing the applications. For more information, visit the State Department's section on passports.

Toronto is also accessible from the United States by car, bus or train. To travel to Toronto by land, you must still present government-issued forms of identification at the U.S.-Canadian border. Check the State Department Web site for travel details.

    OJA Finalists:
The 2007 Online Journalism Award winners will be announced at the awards dinner on Oct. 19. See the list of this year's finalists.

The 2007 Online News Association Conference is the premier conference for those who work in, or have an interest in, online media and news.

The Online Journalism Awards have become the top awards in online journalism. Each year a distinguished panel of judges selects the very best work in nine different categories to be honored at the awards. The OJA Banquet is the event where the awards are presented, and the winners are honored for their efforts.
